Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)?

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) was developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. as a treatment for suicidal and self-injurious individuals who were diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). DBT is a cognitive behavioral treatment that is the gold standard psychological treatment for the BPD population. Research has also demonstrated its efficacy in treating a wide range of other disorders such as depression, severe anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance dependence, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder

DBT is made up of four components:

Many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits which provide reimbursement for psychotherapy services. Mid Island Psychology Associates, PLLC will provide you with all of the information necessary in order to submit for reimbursement through your insurance provider.

What is your cancellation policy?

Mid Island Psychology Associates, PLLC requests a minimum of 24-hours notice to cancel your appointment. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, or do not show for your appointment, you will be charged for the cost of service. This policy is to ensure that we are able to offer services to others should you be unable to attend.
