Mid Island Psychology Associates was founded on the principles that psychological care should be tailored to each individual and address their specific needs. At Mid Island Psychology Associates, we believe in taking a robust and diverse approach to treatment. We meet each client where they are in their current stages of readiness. Specifically, we assist them using evidence-based clinical science and practices, in taking the next step towards feeling better and creating a life of value and meaning.

The clinicians at Mid Island Psychology Associates bring their compassion and enthusiasm for working with clients along with innovative treatment approaches. Each clinician at Mid Island Psychology Associates has been trained in the Cognitive Behavioral treatment model, as well as some who have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Exposure and Response Prevention.

We will then set up an initial phone call to learn more about why you are seeking treatment at our practice and to determine how our practice can best assist you. After that, we will schedule an initial in office consultation session to get a better understanding of what is causing you to seek treatment, as well as identify goals for treatment, and discuss our recommendations.

Does the practice take insurance?

Mid Island Psychology Associates, PLLC is considered an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance. Many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits which provide reimbursement for psychotherapy services. Mid Island Psychology Associates, PLLC will provide you with all of the information necessary in order to submit for reimbursement through your insurance provider.

No Surprises Act

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect on January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing.” For more information regarding the No Surprises Act and for additional information regarding our services and fees please click here or email us and we will be in touch.

What is the practice’s cancellation policy?

Mid Island Psychology Associates, PLLC requests a minimum of 24-hours notice to cancel your appointment. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, or do not show for your appointment, you will be charged for the cost of service. This policy is to ensure that we are able to offer services to others should you be unable to attend.
